Our Process Focuses on Three Key Components
GUIDANCE
Our process starts by focusing on the leadership of the organization, with the recognition that building out a transformational giving program is not just something that Development "does," but rather, it is something that must be "owned" by the entire organization... because it impacts the entire organization and its mission. We begin by setting the stage for exponential growth through a virtual leadership retreat, and follow up with executive coaching, guidance around Transformational Goal Setting, and codification of a set of Transformational Principles for Fundraising. This component of our program ultimately transforms the organization.
GROUNDWORK
Groundwork is all about the "nitty gritty" of implementing new business processes that introduce the “science” of transformational gift fundraising to complement the “art,” learning new skill sets to increase fundraiser competence and confidence, and leveraging new tools (frameworks, templates, meeting agendas, and CRM configuration guidelines) that empower fundraisers to succeed. This is the backbone of every transformational giving program. The elements we focus on in this part of the implementation process are designed to create a culture of philanthropy where everyone is equipped to be a winner. Ultimately, the Groundwork component transforms the team.
GIFT
Learning to think like a superstar fundraiser is what makes the difference between a good fundraiser and a great fundraiser. So from day one, we serve as mentors to your fundraising team - helping them to think strategically, relationally, creatively, and instinctively to cultivate, solicit and close transformational gifts. A key part of this is helping fundraisers learn to uncover the underlying motivations and aspirations of the donor and - when there is alignment with your mission - demonstrating how the apparatus of your organization can enable the donor to fulfill both their aspirations and motivations and become a champion to a cause they believe in. Ultimately, the gift transforms the giver.
